Grenada Here We Come!

Well, tickets for Grenada have been booked so exciting times are ahead! Thanks you so much to all our supporters.

Donations

Despite the success of our PleaseFund.us campaign more funds are still needed so the company must continue to fundraise. We’ve set up a donation facility via PayPal and there’s a donation button on the home page of this website, the Grenada page as well as below so any contributions or opportunities would be very greatly received.

City and Islington College

24 April 7:00pm
25 April 2:00pm and 7:30pm

The Grenada Collection

Breeze Easy was originally created for Connecting Vibes USA the piece was restaged for ADAD’s BLOOM Festival at the Southbank Centre in September 2011. Choreographed by Beverley Glean, the work represents a fusion of contemporary and traditional movement demonstrating the flow, versatility and grounding inherent in the movement language of the Caribbean.

Waiting For… some people wait forever for the “Big Moment”, the “Once in a Lifetime Opportunity”, while others refuse to wait preferring to take destiny in their own hands.

No Lasagne – this piece takes a humorous look at our everyday and potentially life changing choices. How much would you sacrifice to reach your goal?

Jump Up – an energetic and fun Calypso piece.

New Work

Without Borders – facing multiple questions and choices the traveller must decide whether to go forward or return to the safety of home.

It’s a Fine Line – a moment that stops you in your tracks and strikes you with an unknown certainty that things will never be the same again. This piece is choreographed by  Tendu Nafia Bukenya, a company member since 2010.

What Cannot Done is dedicated to the late Jenny Harris (1944-2012). The work is inspired by Ben Okri’s poem “Begin With a Leap” and is in part a prayer as well as a giving of thanks and a celebration of the strength and sense of purpose Jenny instilled in all those who came in contact with her. The title is taken from singer & songwriter Rachel Bennett’s composition, which was specially written for this work.

We look forward to welcoming you to the launch, those who secured tickets through the PleaseFund.us scheme will be emailed with arrangements for collection.
